This course covers basic ultrasound physics, knobology, scanning techniques, image optimization and acquisition, an introduction to FNA techniques, point-of-care ultrasound, and fundamental abdominal ultrasound. Hands on scanning will be focused on reinforcing didactic content along with recognizing normal tissue and the concept of edge-to-edge evaluation of abdominal organs.\r\n\r\nObjectives:\r\nAttendees will leave with the knowledge to:\r\nDidactic \r\n\r\nUnderstand core principles and techniques of abdominal ultrasonography. \r\nCompare and contrast echogenicity, echotexture \u0026amp; explain their relevance to image formation. \r\nRecognize what, when, and why of equipment controls and their correlation to “optimizing” an ultrasound image. \r\nIdentify normal organ structure and techniques essential to locating and assessing them completely. \r\nAssess and document the “Big 5” organs through proper technique.  \r\nIncorporate ultrasound into clinical practice through appropriate case recognition.  \r\nReview core concepts, indications, and interpretation of POCUS\r\n\r\nHands on Scanning \r\n\r\nDevelop skills and techniques for proper identification and evaluation of the “Big 5” (Liver, Kidneys, Spleen, Urinary Bladder). \r\nAcquire skills to begin recognizing optimal image quality. \r\nPractice image acquisition and scanning techniques for POCUS examinations\r\nPre-Course Materials:\r\n\r\nEnhance your learning experience by watching two online videos on physics and artifacts before attending the course. These resources provide useful insights to help you better understand the live sessions. Access will be provided upon course acceptance. \r\n\r\n(Note: Pre-course materials do not include CE credits.)\r\n\r\n\r\nWho Should Attend: \r\n\r\nThis course is geared towards Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians who wish to begin or build upon ultrasound skills and incorporate ultrasound as an additional diagnostic tool into their practice.","brand":"Mednow","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":50989580583145,"sku":null,"price":3800.0,"currency_code":"CAD","in_stock":true}]}],"url":"https:\/\/mednow-store.myshopify.com\/collections\/courses.oembed","provider":"Mednow","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
